Dartmouth Environmental Leadership Institute Wrap Up

Our final days of the Dartmouth Environmental Leadership Academy wrapped up at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, a rustic mountain lodge built in the 1930s that Dartmouth still runs. Many a Dartmouth student has fond memories of their freshman “trip,” all of which end at Moosilauke. Similarly, it was a fitting place to end our two weeks together.

Arriving after lunch on a beautiful Thursday afternoon, we enjoyed some time to relax (or play an intense game of ultimate frisbee) before settling in a for a cozy dinner, reflection, board games, and bonding time.

Friday found the group hiking to the summit of 4800 foot Mount Moosilauke. We were fortunate to have ideal weather, with just the slightest chill in the air at the top, but plenty of sunshine and smiles all around.

After a final evening of reflection, half the group departed for Boston Logan and flights home, while the rest returned to campus and onward from there.

Thanks for participating in this year’s Environmental Leadership Academy at Dartmouth College.
