Environmental Leadership Institute Orientation

Greetings from Hanover! After a little over 24 hours on campus, our orientation is now complete. It’s been a busy, busy day and a half, with students arriving from all over the US and abroad, and lots of fun-filled activities to kick off the program.

We started last night’s orientation with a talk/improv comedy routine from Pete Dominick – CNN correspondent, Sirius XM radio show host, stand-up comic, and activist.

Today, we continued orientation with the development of our group contract, a bike ride up to the Dartmouth Organic Farm – where we learned about some of the farm’s agricultural production systems – and then many opted for a refreshing swim in the river to cool off.

Following dinner, Pete conducted an interview with Rosi Kerr, Dartmouth’s Director of Sustainability.

Here are a few pictures with more to come over the next two weeks.
