We returned from Vinales and have spent the last two days in Havana, Cuba. Yesterday we visited a government run home for the elderly and day care inside an old convent. Then we had some much needed free time to enjoy the pools at our hotel. We journaled and had discussion by the ocean. Afterwards we had a surprisingly eventful dinner at a Russian restaurant in the malecon.
Today we had a great presentation on the current situation if gender, feminism, and healthcare in Cuba by a university of Havana professor. Afterwards we visited the social project la moneda cubana and participated in the preparation of our lunch with their students! Afterwards we touted the museum of the revolution!
Tomorrow we head out to Cienfuegos and to see the bay of pigs!
