Beekeeping and ECOVATE

Tonight is our final one on campus at Dartmouth before our final two nights of the program at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. We finished up our time in Hanover with rousing morning sessions on environmental rhetoric and debating skills, which culminated in a challenge to craft an opinion piece for publication that draws on some of the persuasive principles explored.

This afternoon found us again at the farm where the group rotated between constructing the final stages of a new aquaponics system and a beekeeping presentation.

Later, teams presented their ECOVATE design solutions for raising awareness of sustainability on Dartmouth’s campus. Solutions included everything from a “Farmival” (farm – carnival event) to a cafe to a partnership proposal for DEN (Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network).

Finally, this evening’s student-led symposium featured a presentation and discussion on Corporate Social Responsibility.
