Dartmouth Session Comes to a Close

Well, it’s that time. Students are exchanging tear-filled farewells after two incredible weeks living and learning together.

An intense “3-day Start Up” culminated with pitches on Thursday evening. Our eight teams worked hard to shape an initial idea into a minimum viable product with a “go to market” strategy.

In no particular order, we had Glassy, which offers refillable cosmetics dispensed in bulk to eliminate single-use plastics.

Utopia, an app that is gamifying being green.

Avendge, a beverage dispenser for reusable bottles that aims to replace the single use beverages dispensed from vending machines.

Verde, a sugarcane-based bioplastic for eco-conscious snack packaging.

Gaia Gear, a repurposed outdoor gear outfitter.

Plant Pack, a vegan meal kit service.

Blavi, a cockroach-based food waste processing system that will convert restaurant food waste into livestock feed and organic fertilizer.

Safe Cycle, an app that helps environmentally-minded consumers recycle.

We finished up our program with a summit of Mount Moosilauke and dinner at the lodge.
