First Day at Dartmouth

Greetings from Hanover!

Last night our Dartmouth Environmental Leadership Academy kicked off with lots of fun activities in town and on campus while students arrived. In the evening we settled into orientation with a key note speech and presentation from CNN commentator and radio talk show host, Pete Dominick.

The first full day of programming found our group engaged in several orientation activities, including an afternoon on the Dartmouth high ropes course. We also squeezed in a fantastic “live interview” between Pete and Sierra Club Beyond Coal campaign organizer, Dan Sherrell.

Everyone is off to dinner followed by an inspiring session on human-environment interconnectedness called Awakening the Dreamer.
