Quito to Rio Muchacho

Hello friends and family! Today we left Quito and on our way to our next destination on the coast we stopped at Mitad del Mundo, or the Middle of the World! No, not a Lord of the Rings reference, but the location of the equator, which runs through Ecuador. How many people can say they have stood in both hemispheres at once? Now we can!

After a long day of traveling we finally made it to Canoa for dinner, a serene beach town near our destination for the next 9 nights, Rio Muchacho Finca Organica. There we will be up early to begin a 9-day segment of hands-on learning about organic agriculture, so an early night’s sleep is in order. We’ll be sure to take plenty of pictures at the farm in the coming days. Stay tuned!
