Claire Mohney

Claire was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where her passion for the environment stemmed from an interest in Great Lakes health and water quality. She attended DePauw University where she studied Environmental Biology and Political science, and will graduate this May with her Bachelor’s Degree! Her time at a liberal arts college helped her recognize the importance of interdisciplinary study in understanding the environment. Throughout her time in college, Claire has interned with an environmental nonprofit in Cleveland focused water quality and access, conducted field research on arthropods in the Peruvian Amazon, worked for US Senator Sherrod Brown, and helped run DePauw’s organic campus farm. She is most passionate about environmental policy, sustainable agriculture, and connecting social justice to all environmental issues. This fall, she will begin her first year of Law School, and plans to focus on environmental law. In her free time, Claire loves hiking, reading, and playing with her two cats!
