Jenny is from Minnetonka, MN, the land of cross-country skiing and snow! She grew up canoeing and camping in the Boundary Waters and swing dancing and singing in Minneapolis. Recently graduated with a Masters in environmental education from Western Washington University, she is so excited to continue to be inspired, challenged and pushed to grow as an educator with Sustainable Summer, advocating for the Earth and constantly re-centering herself on what education is all about. She has spent multiple years abroad, teaching English and outdoor education in China, Spain and Mexico; also leading trips with Outward Bound in Taiwan and northern Minnesota. She has spent four years as a public school teacher in the U.S., teaching 3rd and 5th grade Spanish immersion in Minnesota and spent the last year working in North Cascades National Park in Washington, leading high school trips in the mountains. She is currently working for a private, non-profit high school focused on outdoor/experiential education called Explorations Academy. She is thrilled to continue to work with high schoolers domestically and abroad this summer!
