Remy graduated from Dartmouth College with degrees in Music and Environmental Studies, and a passion for studying food and agriculture. As a student he lived in a sustainability focused co-op house, tried to change campus food systems as an intern for the Sustainability Office, and spent a summer driving a waste-vegetable-oil-powered bus around the country to organize environmental education events. He worked as a trip leader for four years, mostly through the Dartmouth Outing Club, leading rock climbing trips and teaching PE classes in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Since college he has worked as a teaching assistant at Dartmouth, organized for a regional Farm to School non-profit, been a chef for a food truck, and traveled around Southeast Asia and Spain. In 2015 he is starting graduate school in Geography at the University of Arizona, where he will hone his teaching skills and talk about food sovereignty to anyone who will listen.
