Sustaining the Amazon Final Post

Greetings from Banos de Agua Santa!

Today marks our final full day of the Sustaining the Amazon program. Yesterday was action packed with biking the Ruta de las Cascadas, volunteering at a local literacy foundation, and a night tour up to Bellavista, the lookout point over Banos and the Tungurahua Volcano.

Today, we will spend the morning enjoying the lovely town of Banos and then return to Quito after lunch with a stop in Salasacas for the excellent artisan market there.

Tomorrow, it will be an early morning departure from the Quito airport either home or to the Galapagos, for students that are continuing on to our Galapagos extension.
