International Employment - Sustainable Summer

Please complete this online application form to be considered for one of our open positions. We begin holding first round interviews for available positions in early February and leave the application open until all positions are filled, which is typically end of March or early April.

Note: we receive far more applications than there are available positions. Generally speaking, competitive candidates have an advanced knowledge of sustainable development principles and professional experience in excess of 180 field days in a relevant geography. A WFR and Bachelor’s Degree are required at minimum. Most of our field staff are referrals from past or current employees, although we’re certainly happy to take a look at your resume if you have a strong background in the aforementioned areas and the other prerequisites. This is not a good position for someone who is just getting started in the field, and candidates without the requisite experience are advised to apply for one of our domestic assignments instead.

Preferred Experience

We anticipate hiring one male and one female to work our 2020 Costa Rica sessions. We are most likely going to staff these hires on an additional session in either NYC or at Dartmouth College, although we will also consider applications only for the international assignment.

Training and employment for our global learning staff will begin with training on June 20th, 2019. We staff programs through mid-August. Generally speaking, candidates that are available during this entire period are given preference in the hiring process, but if you are available for only a shorter duration this summer, we may have an appropriate opening.
