Event Details

What? We have arranged for a fun afternoon of sea kayaking courtesy of Brooklyn Kayak Guides. No prior paddling experience is necessary and some basic instruction will be provided on land prior to getting in kayaks. This is an appropriate activity for all students and we will be sticking to the sheltered embayment between Piers 3 and 5. All you need to bring is yourself, appropriate attire (ie; clothes that can get a bit wet), and a waiver signed by a parent.

Who? All Sustainable Summer participants are invited.

Where? The beach at Pier 4 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. You will receive detailed directions and a map via email when you RSVP.

When? Sunday June 8th from 2pm to 4pm.

Why? Meet some fellow participants and spend an afternoon paddling in one of the most picturesque spots in the city.
