Dartmouth

Alex grew up on the east coast of Florida and graduated in 2018 from Dartmouth College where she studied Environmental Studies and Geography. At Dartmouth, she was involved in the Sustainability Office as an intern working at the organic farm, with dining services, and in various other student initiatives. Alex has a passion for all things related to agriculture and food systems, and has a diverse background working on farms, supporting gleaning programs, teaching, creating community around food, and supporting food-related programs at Dartmouth. While a student at Dartmouth, Alex studied abroad in southern Africa, and did independent research in New England and Cuba. Most recently, she has been working in South Africa with an organization that empowers women working and living on commercial farms. This fall, Alex will begin a PhD program in Geography at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she is excited to grow as a researcher and educator. When she isn’t working, she enjoys running, hiking, cooking, reading, and exploring.
