Jeff Sharpe

Jeff is the co-founder and Executive Director of Sustainable Summer and Sustainable Learning (Sustainable Summer’s 501(c)(3) parent organization). He is a former partner and director of Career Explorations, a summer internship program for high school students, and Vertex Academic Services, an educational consulting company. Jeff has been working with young people for over two decades as an educator, mentor, and coach. He is a former Division I swimmer and, now also somewhat formerly, an avid skier, whitewater kayaker, and traveler. After more than a decade living in Brooklyn, Jeff and his family made a pandemic-inspired decision to make their “weekend house” in Roxbury, CT their full-time homestead. Jeff documents many of the projects on the 5-acre farm at sawandstone.com and also has some musings on jeffreysharpe.com. He is on the Board of the Roxbury Housing Trust, an affordable housing nonprofit, and is also a volunteer ski patroller at Mohawk Mountain. Jeff has a BA from Bucknell University and a MA from Dartmouth College and is a certified EMT.
