A Lovely Week at Cornell

We’ve had a lovely week at Cornell to start of this Sustainable Summer program. In the classroom, we’ve been exploring energy while also learning a lot about innovative organizations working to address climate change. There has also been plenty of time for fun and some off-site excursions, including a trip to Treman State Park yesterday and a visit to Edible Acres, a permaculture nursery and forest farm, this morning. We’ve also had guest speakers from Cornell that have shared their expertise on environmental communication, ornithology, and upcycled fashion.

We have some other more activities planned throughout the weekend (including bowling tonight) before we get back into the heart of the program with our big innovation challenge which starts on Sunday night.
